peace on earth at gecko galz

the challenge at the gecko galz blog this month is "peace on earth."
i made a digital creation for this challenge which i am also linking up to "peace and tranquility" at moo mania and more.

although this is a digital creation i made it in the proper dimensions for a "moo" which is approximately 1.1 x 2.8 inches.

other than the background digital paper and the starlight effect in the background, all other images are from the "blue christmas" digital kit by gecko galz.

nothing evokes peace on earth quite like an angel playing a harp!
wishing peace and love to all.

grateful hearts

for moo mania and more "count your blessings," i've made a little moo (1.1 x 2.8 inches creation) in honor of the thanksgiving holiday, and the bounty of the harvest.

stamps (pumpkin and corn) by hero arts and background papers by gecko galz.

turns out i was too late for this challenge, i missed the deadline, but they have a new challenge now called "cuts and punches"!

love to all.

moo meet tag

for moo mania and more: colour (use all color, minimal white); and tag tuesday: birds, nests and eggs; and gecko galz "bless this nest."

this is a standard "moo" (1.1 x 2.8 canvas) made into a tag by means of a punched hole and a frayed piece of yarn. the bird, twig and sentiment came from a free gecko galz collage sheet (if you sign up for the monthly newsletter you get a free collage sheet every month; info on the gecko galz blog home page).

the background was created using multiple papers glued on cardboard, watercolor spritzes and a glaze finish.  i made lots of these some years ago and had only small bits left -- perfect for a moo-size!

for those in my hemisphere it is finally spring. the cherry blossoms are blooming, the crocuses are out and the birds are singing with abandon. may the times be sweet and happy for all. love to all.

cold and frosty colours

although the sun was shining today and it was 50F here in the pacific northwest today (unseasonably warm...), at moo mania and more our task is to create with cold and frosty colors so i had to imagine more wintry feelings.

i made my "moo" (1.2 x 2.8 inches) in a digital format using a background from the gecko galz blue christmas digital kit and all other images from the eena's creations winter wonderland digital kit. this little scene makes me smile!

love to all.

keep on jingling...

our november challenge at gecko galz customer challenge blog the  is "jingle all the way!" there are just a couple days remaining to play along. the challenge prize will be a shopping spree at the gecko galz shop!  let's play! i've got lots to jingly goodness to share.

supplies: gecko galz "victorian christmas" paper pack; the gecko galz christmas collage sheet from the recent blog hop (see my october 26 post and pop through all the blog hop stops to find the free sheet); gecko galz "charming words" collage sheet; various laces, die cuts, paper flowers; reindeer brad, enamel dot, ATC base, etc. from my stash.

instructions: i covered the ATC base with one of the victorian christmas papers and distressed the edges. i added lace and the flower and dot.  i fussy cut the image from the blog hop sheet and glued it down. i continued to embellish with the word and the brad.

these two creations are "moos" which are little arty piece made at 1.2 x 3.8 inches. i used the same basic components on both of these.

supplies: gecko galz "christmas sprinkles" paper pack; gecko galz "snow much fun jewel it" collage sheet; and then various embellishments from my stash.

instructions: in both cases i cut a moo base out of cardboard and covered it with the christmas sprinkles paper. i fussy cut the images and arranged everything together the way i wanted and then glued it all down!

i'm linking my "moos" to the current moo mania and more challenge "trees."

for me, christmas is a holy and sacred time and one of my favorite images of christmas is the three wise men bringing gifts to the holy baby. that was the inspiration for this last ATC.

suppliesgecko galz "victorian christmas" paper pack; gecko galz "christmas days gone by" collage sheet; distress ink; ATC base; dove and heart stickers.

instructions: this was made very simply by covering the ATC base with the victorian christmas paper and distressing the edges, fussy cutting the three wise men and gluing them down; appending the lace with double sided tape and adding the stickers to finish.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

rubber moon moo swap

it has been many months since i've participated in a swap with the rubber moon mail club members.  but the august swap was for "moos" and that got me back in the swing of things -- i love working with a tiny canvas.

my swap went to none other than the rubber moon owner and chief moonie kae pea!  this trio was made on a background created with watercolor inks.  all the stamps are from the rubber moon store, and beyond the simple stamping there is very little additional embellishment.

of course i sent some stickers and die cuts and other goodies as we do with swaps.

have a lovely day; love to all.
