winter holidays

i'm hosting the next two week challenge at tag tuesday and i've chosen "winter holidays." my research has revealed SEVERAL winter holidays to choose from! i found: christmas, hanukkah, kwanzaa, solstice, los posadas, diwali, boxing day, three kings/epiphany, eid-ul-adha, and new year! this should give you plenty of inspiration for making your tags. which holidays will you choose? 

for my inspiration samples i'm starting with 2 digital tags for winter solstice (december 21), then collaged tags for hanukkah which begins on december 25 this year, christmas which is also december 25, and 2 tags for kwanzaa which begins on december 26 and runs through the 31st. if i get another burst of energy i might do some more winter holiday tags!

where do you come from?

the theme at sunday postcard art this week is "where do you come from?" i'm lucky to be from the city of san francsico, still one of my favorite cites in the world. my uncle was a cable car operator! in honor of him and my childhood here is a scene from san franciso featuring some happy tourists. 

thanks to pixabay for the background scene.  the ladies are put together with parts from tumblefish studios and the seagulls are from eena's creations.

at sunday postcard art the theme is "type it" and this young woman asked me to share a picture of her at her writer's desk. a great novel is on it's way.

get your hat on!

the theme for sunday postcard art is "get your hat on" and i made three hat creations in 4 x 6 postcard format, all very different from each other...

this 1st one has a steampunk feel, with images from miles beyond the moon, eena's creations, mr whiskers, dezinaworld, and gecko galz. all except gecko galz background paper (la boheme) are retired mischief circus kit images.

this one might be a future graduation card for my niece who is in a masters program. images are from eena's creations, holliewood studios (retired kits) and woman from designs by aymara.
