another diva reigns supreme

i had fun layering designer papers and tissue papers on my stamped tag and then adding the (distressed) image from the lunagirl "beauties #2" collage sheet.  and even though the "birds" challenge was last time i snuck in a little lunagirl bird at the lower right hand corner.  a few more embellies and i was done.

challenge # 61 at the cheerful stamp pad is "my kind of gal" with challenge sponsor stitchy bear/gingerloft -- randomly selected winner gets a free digi!

the cowboy boot digi is from gingerloft and i really love the flowers on it and in it so i colored them with pencils.  i have fun, bold papers, tissue tape, ribbon leaves and flowers to represent the spirited kind of gal who kicks around in cowboy boots like these.  i hope you'll consider joining the challenge by creating something on our theme.

diva in pink with flowers

what do you get when you mix a DIVA with the pink saturday link up party?  this gal:

she is wishing beverly and the pink saturday gang a happy 5th birthday! in a very sassy way i might add.
she is also sporting 5 or more flowers (6 around the edges and who know how many on her dress) so she can play along with the reader's art quest at unruly paper arts.

i'm happy to report that we are moving to a two week challenge schedule at lunagirl moonbeams blog.  challenges will start on mondays and run for two weeks.  if you played along with the birds challenge, our first ever challenge, then thank you very much.  if not, please join us for the DIVA challenge!

to get the ball rolling here is my DT inspiration for you.  the central image comes from the lunagirl "diva" collage sheet (appropriately!).  i adhered designer paper to plain cardstock, covered that in french themed tissue paper then added my image (distressed first) and embellishments.  now you consider bringing your favorite diva along and join our challenge.  the challenge is open for two weeks, closing june 2 and a new challenge starting june 3.  winner gets a free lunagirl collage sheet!  i'll post some more divas in the coming days.

it's natural #2

sometimes when you wander in nature you might be surprised by a fairy.  that's what happened in this ATC.

for week two of the cheerful stamp pad "it's natural" challenge i created a fantasy nature scene using several digital images from our challenge sponsor stitchy bear stamps which i colored with pencils.

i colored the ATC base with distress inks then placed a piece of designer paper from twisted papers.  I added a leafy sticker too.

it's natural...

time for a new two week challenge at the cheerful stamp pad. the theme is "its natural" which gives you free reign to use nature as your inspiration for your art.

i colored a digital image from our challenge sponsor stitchy bear stamps.  i thought this scenic stamp was so peaceful looking.  i placed it on some tree themed designer paper.  i stamped the "peace" chinese character on a piece of natural brown napkin which i tore and adhered to the card.  the final bit is a velvety brown leaf.   a randomly selected winner will get some goodies from stitchy bear.

as i mentioned last week i'm very excited to be a part of the first ever design team at lunagirl images.

for week two of the "april showers bring may flowers" challenge at the cheerful stamp pad i used a lovely silhouette digital image from our challenge sponsor floppy latte designs.

i kept it simple: a light touch with colored pencils, some pretty origami paper, additional flowers and the dream stamp by inkadinkado.

i am very happy to tell you i am a new member of the design team at lunagirl!  we are the lunagirl moonbeams -- too cute!

lunagirl is a purveyor of truly delicious digital images and collage sheets with a special focus on vintage edwardian, victorian and all manner of antique and retro goodies.  i am very excited to be working with lunagirl.

for the month of may we're focusing on the theme of "birds" at lunagirl and here is my first DT creation: 

the central image and the little bird both come from the lunagirl collage sheet "orange." the rest are my own stash goodies.  oh i shall be having such fun!
