here are two different sorts of winter processions for sunday postcard art: polar bear
images from mischief circus and fusion dream print.
love to all.
this blog is to chart my creative evolution with stamping, paper-crafting, mixed media and some other stuff i haven't figured out yet... on the theory that challenging myself to try new things and post them to the "world" will be good for me. and might also be good for others. my blog title is inspired by julia cameron's "the artist's way" and her admonition to fill the well.

for kym's my soul's dark imagination the theme is "worst present ever." and to be honest i couldn't really think of any bad presents -- i guess i have been lucky! until i remembered the year i got sick with bronchitis on christmas.

for sunday postcard art: scandi christmas. i wasn't sure what to do here so i started with asking pixabay for some scandinavian winter images. so with those backgrounds in hand, i made these two pieces, adding images from arthouse whimsy and robyn gough. hopefully i got it right...

angel image and background paper come from gecko galz.
love to all!
for our midweek muse: scrooge.
this is the idea of scrooge, not the real one. so excuse the american money rather than old British money. but you get the idea. look at his face and see that being alone with your money and your possessions does not make a person happy.
images from retired mischief circus kits by holliewood studios and itKuPiLLi.
love to all and no bah humbug...

here's something not everyone knows: as we go about our business on our roads and streets, there is an unseen world -- the world of faeries. by special dispensation, i've been given permission to show you this unseen world! we drive our cars down these roads but in this image i'm sharing what we usually do not see -- for kym's my soul's dark imagination: fall faerie forest.
background is from pixabay, the rest of the images (including golden faerie dust) comes from retired mischief circus kits.

hello all, it's anything goes time at tag tuesday for the next two weeks. make a tag on any theme and link up. i recently acquired some lovely images from kate's printable art so i used one of them for this tag.

i'm delighted that kym has continued challenges at my soul's dark imagination even though we are past all hallow's eve. this week's theme is "dark angel."
i've used images from retired mischief circus kits and a female image from arthouse whimsy.
love to all.
for our midweek muse: soldier. i have numerous family members who have served in the military -- army, navy, and air force. this soldier in my card is from an african-american images set by lunagirl, and i've used an excerpt from a poem called "the Negro Soldiers" by Roscoe Jamison, written in 1922.
background papers are from gecko galz and the other images (eagle and flag) came from pixabay. may all who serve be honored and may peace prevail on earth.
love to all.
i'm hosting the latest two week challenge at tag tuesday. and there is one week remaining. our theme is day of the dead (Spanish: DÃa de los Muertos), a holiday traditionally celebrated on november 1 and 2. and widely observed in Mexico, and is also observed in other places, especially by people of Mexican heritage. the holiday involves family and friends gathering to pay respects and remember friends and family members who have died. there are a lot of interesting themes and emerges that emerge: skeletons, skulls, marigolds, food stuffs, and altars in remembrance of the dearly departed. i hope people will have fun with this theme, and i have one last tag on this theme to share.

i'm hosting the latest two week challenge at tag tuesday. since our most recent challenge went all in on hallowe'en and spooky vibes, i thought i would encourage us to celebrate day of the dead. the day of the dead (Spanish: DÃa de los Muertos) is a holiday traditionally celebrated on november 1 and 2. it is widely observed in Mexico, where it largely developed, and is also observed in other places, especially by people of Mexican heritage. the holiday involves family and friends gathering to pay respects and remember friends and family members who have died. there are a lot of interesting themes and emerges that emerge: skeletons, skulls, marigolds, food stuffs, and altars in remembrance of the dearly departed. i hope people will have fun with this theme, and i'm offering a few tags to get us started.
my images are mostly from gecko galz collage sheets and paper packs, with other bits and bobs from my stash. i hope you will play along, and perhaps use this opportunity to remember loved ones who have passed on. love to all.
the new challenge at kym's my soul's dark imagination is: dancing skeletons
images from retired mischief circus kits (esp. ItKuPiLLi's "anatomy"); the crowd in silhouette comes from pixabay. and looks like madam marlaine managed an appearance, even at someone else's party...
love to all.
