gothic cemetery statues

for my soul's dark imagination: gothic cemetery statues 

i've been examining cemetery statues a lot lately. a friend i walk with regularly recently lost her mother and we've started taking some of our walks in the cemetery where her mother is buried. cemeteries are fascinating, beautiful places.

i got inspired by Kym's many beautiful samples and made quite a few pieces myself. because Kym noted how these statues can be both beautiful and creepy, it made me want to do some serious close ups...

i've used a combination of images in these, some freebies that Kym provided on her blog, along with many retired mischief circus images. i also took advantage of filters in my photo editing software to add interest to these images.
