dashing through the snow!

happy december! as usual every december at gecko galz we feature tags of the winter holidays all month long.  you are encouraged to link up a tag on the theme of "dashing through the snow" at the gecko galz customer challenge blog for the chance to win gecko galz prizes!  i have tags featured on december 17 and 28 this month so i hope you'll come back to visit!  today i am sharing a christmas card using gecko galz products.

supplies: gecko galz little reindeer collage sheet; anna griffin christmas cardstock and diecuts; holiday paper tape.

instructions: i cut out the reindeer image and adhered it to some of the anna griffin card stock.  i cut the cardstock to my desired size and made a border around the reindeer image wiht decorative paper tape.  i adhered the reindeer and cardstock onto a larger piece of decorative cardstock.  the final step was adding 2 die cuts on the left side of the card.  simple but elegant!

at tag tuesday for the next two weeks the theme is "anything goes" but use some lime green.  thanks to Wendy for this challenge theme! lime makes me think spring-like thoughts so i departed from my holiday making for this tag:

it don't mean a thing

the duke ellington stamp is by the stampsmith.  the background paper is from the gecko galz gatsby paper pack.  i typed "that swing" onto paper from the gecko galz color me ombre paper pack.  the star stamps are from cherry arte stamps and the rest is stickers from my stash.

it was my turn to choose the theme for the next two week challenge at tag tuesday and i chose "music."

to make this tag i took out my supremes stamp from the stampsmith and stamped it on paper from the gatsby paper pack by gecko galz.  i covered my tag base in paper from the chocolate box paper pack also by gecko galz.  the letters i used came from mischief circus from the fantastical steampunk add on kit.  the star stamps are from cherry arte stamps (appears to no longer be in business). there are a few stickers from my stash as well.

here comes santa claus...

today is my feature day at the gecko galz blog so i have 2 creations to share -- one is on our customer challenge theme this month "santa claus lane" and then another goodies just for fun.

supplies: gecko galz "dashing through the snow" paper pack; gecko galz "christmas chic" collage sheet; gecko galz "santa clause jewel it" collage sheet; ATC base; embellishments from my stash

instructions: i glued the paper to the ATC base and distressed the edges.  i added a die cut "flag", a paper flower, enamel dot and the sentiment (which i also distressed around the edges). after fussy cutting the woman and santa i glued them on last.

supplies: 2x2 twinchie base; gecko galz "dashing through the snow" paper pack; gecko galz "sparkle and shine" collage sheet; inchie arts base; embellishments from my stash

instructions: i covered the twinchie base with the paper and distressed the edges. i fussy cut the woman (josephine baker!) and glued her on.  i added the word and sparkly bits to finish the piece.

supplies: gecko galz "dashing through the snow" paper pack; gecko galz "little reindeers" collage sheet; gecko galz "santa clause jewel it" collage sheet; ATC base; embellishments from my stash

instructions: i covered the ATC vase with the paper and distressed the edges. i cut the reindeer piece and the santa circle and adhered them to the ATC.  the border, tree and snowflake die cuts were added last.
