a mindful year

what's a good goal for life at any time? i strive to be more present and mindful, that's a good one for me.

for our midweek muse: resolutions.

background pattern paper is from the gecko galz namaste paper pack with a checkerboard pattern at base from a retired itKuPiLLi celestial backgrounds kit. the meditator and lotus are from a retired with wild abandon kit and a few other items (dragonfly, light effect) from various sources.

wishing you all a mindful year; love to all.

flowers or plants and whatever you want!

i'm in charge of the latest theme at tag tuesday blog. we often choose our themes several weeks in advance and i think i had an idea for this theme but by the time it was time to make my tags i really couldn't remember. but anyway, here are a few tags that i hope will inspire you to play along. as long as there are flowers or plants on there somewhere you are good to go!

for week one i worked with these images from a beautiful buddha collage sheet by gecko galz. come back next week to see a different approach to the theme.

i hope you will play along, love to all!

a pause to reflect, ICAD

my index card for today, for the "index card a day" challenge sponsored by daisy yellow art is on the theme of "pause." i had intended to mask the buddha stamp and forgot to do so, decided to continue with the card anyway. it therefore isn't quite as i had hoped but here it is.

background paper from gecko galz. mountain stamp from PSX, buddha stamp from inkadinakdo, lotus stamp from leavenworth jackson, spiral stamp, unknown.

love to all.

meditation silhouette

for take a word "silhouette." day or night, it is always good to be mindful, to breathe...

buddha, butterfly, word and symbols from "with wild abandon," which sadly appears to now be out of business.  on the first creation the background is by tumblefish studios (retired) and the blue splotches are by songbirdy (glitzy).  on the second, the background and extra stars are by miles beyond the moon (cirque).

love to all.

altered tin

i wanted to make something special for a friend so i asked her what she would like.  she had seen some of my altered tins and so she requested an altered tin featuring an image of the buddha.  i have a beautiful buddha stamp by inkadinakdo.  here is what i made:

all of the papers are from gecko galz.  i also used little bits of borders and washi tape for the sides and a sticker and enamel dots for the top.  i gave it to her yesterday and she really loved it.

have a great rest of the week.
love to all.
