one last little precious one...

there is one week remaining for the "garden fairy" challenge at lunagirl moonbeams blog.  any creation featuring a garden fairy will do!  my last DT garden fairy inspiration for this challenge is from the lunagirl "little cuties" collage sheet with wings appended from the lunagirl "fly away home" collage sheet.  i love that her wings are so large -- they could carry her quite far across all our gardens to bring us wishes of joy! oh, and my wishes of joy stamp is by hero arts.  distressed design paper, flower and brad from my stash.

love to all.

from the past...

new challenge time at the cheerful stamp pad.  our challenge sponsor vintage image craft invites us to create a vintage-themed project  and since we are getting very close to independence day in the US we are also featuring patriotic vintage images.

the image here was a free download from vintage image craft's facebook page. she is such a happy patriotic girl that i chose a vibrant designer paper and a border of stars for her.  i handwrote "celebrate freedom" on a wavy sticker border.

the challenge runs for two weeks so i hope you'll consider joining!
love to all.

a roguish yet fashionable moo...

friends, i wasn't sure if i'd ever do it again but, behold, here is another moo -- a 1.1 by 2.8 inch teeny tiny creation.  i saw a perfect synchronicity of challenges with the moo mania "fashion mode" challenge and the rogue redhead designs slender benders rebel challenge.  i submit this little piece for both.

i started with a rogue redhead designs stamp from the milliner misses stamp plate.  i have a soft spot for this plate because my beloved late grandmother had a talent for making very fancy hats.  i recently acquired my first ever set of alcohol ink markers -- letraset promarkers -- when i had a half off coupon at an art supply store. wow, let me just say that even though i am still getting the hang of these i see why alcohol ink markers are so popular.  this is some smooth coloring folks.  i may be in love.

i had some simple patterned DP which i stamped with a stampin' up french script stamp to apply to my pre-cut cardboard moo base.  then cut my milliner miss image to fit.  i added a heart because who doesn't love fashion?

enjoy and all wishes for a happy week.
love to all.

pink saturday garden fairy, shabby style

this piece is a reminder to link up a garden fairy creation to our latest challenge at lunagirl moonbeams blog. also please check out the fun creations at pink saturday.
i'm also linking this up to the latest reader's art quest at unruly paper arts where the unrulies are celebrating shabby chic, pink and brown.

the fairy is from the "little cuties" collage sheet by lunagirl.  the wings are from the "fly away home" collage sheet.  i found the little fairy poem on line.  i've included the first stanza of the poem "little fairy" by brittany graviet.

enjoy!  love to all.

another garden fairy flitting by... and some other news

here is another garden fairy to hopefully inspire your desire to join the latest challenge at lunagirl moonbeams.   this "little cutie" from lunagirl looks so much like an angel that is was very natural to put wings on her. the wings are from the "rainbow butterfly wings" collage sheet.  i love working with contrasting designer papers so i've got two very different papers in play here along with an additional butterfly from the "fly away home" collage sheet.

come play along with the fairies!

in other news, as i was bouncing around blog land i discovered that leanne at fripperies and butterflies is offering some cool free images and a brand new challenge.

bounce over yourself to join the fashionista challenge.  i hope to participate myself!

happy week.  love to all.

garden fairies descend on lunagirl moonbeams!

please consider joining us at lunagirl moonbeams blog as we embark on a new two week challenge -- garden fairies.   my little garden fairy is from the lunagirl "little cuties" collage sheet and i cut her wings from the lunagirl "fly away home" collage sheet.  the butterfly hovering at the top also came from "fly away home."  the images are on some distressed flowery designer paper. green vine ribbon and a row of lace (looks like roses!) finish the piece.

we are getting some beautiful art at the lunagirl challenges; i hope you''ll feel inspired to join!
love to all.

more sweets for a sweetie

one more week for the "you're sweet" challenge at the cheerful stamp pad.  to play along you'll need to create something involving sweets.  our challenge sponsor is far far hill a company with lots of digital goodies. here's my week 2 DT creation:

the only thing better than one cupcake is two!  these are both from far far hill and i arranged them simply with papers and other embellies.  one more week to join the fun...

my DT creation features an image from the lunagirl bathing beauties sheet #2.

i've got a variety of papers and items here.  the shell is also from the lunagirl collage sheet.  the dream stamp is from inkadinakado.

if you'd like to participate link your challenge piece here.

sweet times at the cheerful stamp pad...

challenge # 62 at cheerful stamp pad is "you're sweet."  suitable entries for this challenge will be creations which include sweets you eat.  the challenge sponsor is far far hill a great source for digital creativity.  the randomly chosen winner will get some digital treats -- calorie free!  here is my week 1 DT creation:

i have a friend whose motto is "dessert first" and while i prefer to get my protein and veggies first, this cupcake from far far hill is definitely enticing.  i hope you'll join the challenge, it runs for two weeks.

another bathing beauty, in pink

the regal image on this tag is from the lunagirl bathing beauties collage sheet and has an ancient grecian feel to it.  i'm providing it as a little extra inspiration to join the lunagirl moonbeams bathing beauty challenge.

i started with a stamped pink tag, added tissue paper, a scrap of inked paper, a seashell border from alphastamps and a butterfly brad.  i love working with these images and if you are the lucky winner of the challenge you could win one of the collage sheets for yourself!

i'm also playing along with the crew at pink saturday.  stop by and have a look at the goodies there too.
happy weekend and love to all.

by the beautiful sea....

our new challenge at lunagirl moonbeams is "bathing beauties," just in time for summer... (which can't come soon enough if you ask me).  winner gets a lunagirl collage sheet!

this challenge makes me happy because i love the beach.  the image in my card comes from the bathing beauties #4 collage sheet from lunagirl.  she's pretty cheeky, yes?  my background was done by swiping inks on some card stock, distressed around the edges.  the sand dollar and seahorse borders came from alphastamps.  the stamped letters are from a magnetic letter set by pixie press, stamped on some handmade paper in my stash.

my card has a favorite old song running through my mind.  sing along with mickey mouse and enjoy!

now one last thing.  if your bathing beauty is a woman, you can also link your card up to the "my kind of gal" challenge at cheerful stamp pad.
love to all...

my kind of fairy...

for week 2 of the cheerful stamp pad challenge #61 -- "my kind of gal," i've used another digi from the challenge sponsor stitchy bear/gingerloft, a floating fairy.  well, she is floating on my card!  she reminds me of the blue fairy from the pinocchio movie.  in this case she is sprinkling fairy dust on the garden flowers.

the garden flowers were cut from two vintage easter cards from twisted papers.  there is one week left on this challenge which is focused on female images,  randomly selected winner gets a gingerloft digi!

love to all.
