so many hearts

as we are getting close to valentine's day and it is my turn to set the theme for the tag tuesday challenge i have chosen "hearts" as my theme. i've always liked making valentines (last year i made and gave more than 40!) so this theme is to give a jump start to those who share my love of hearts and doilies and all things lovey-dovey.

i made all of these with the sweet girls from the crowabout studio b "love the world" digital kit (although for these i printed the images for my cut and glue collages). background papers are from "my artistic adventures" and the words, bingo, and heart on third tag are from various gecko galz kits and collage sheets. ribbons, flowers and heart punches from my stash.

as with all the tag tuesday challenges this one runs for two weeks and i hope you'll join and have fun with it. i'll be posting more hearts and valentines in the coming weeks.

oh please forgive me, i couldn't resist a little play with words -- here is my response to the latest take a word challenge: "butterflies in interesting places..."

where the wild things are

i got to pick this week's theme for the three muses challenge and my idea was "where the wild things are." although it is, of course, a fabulous children's book, the challenge is to just work with the idea of wild things. i chose dinosaurs.

i used images from rucola designs, itKuPiLLi, holliewood studios (all from mischief circus) and dezinaworld (retired). the fractals digital kit from holliewood studios is responsible for the outer-spacey background, i love it!

we have a new two week challenge beginning at tag tuesday this week -- mail, postmarks or postage stamps. my tag represents a letter to/from a loved one.

cold and frosty colours

although the sun was shining today and it was 50F here in the pacific northwest today (unseasonably warm...), at moo mania and more our task is to create with cold and frosty colors so i had to imagine more wintry feelings. 

i made my "moo" (1.2 x 2.8 inches) in a digital format using a background from the gecko galz blue christmas digital kit and all other images from the eena's creations winter wonderland digital kit. this little scene makes me smile!

new beginnings at tag tuesday

it is a brand new year and we have some wonderful themes planned for tag tuesday. we are starting with the theme of "new beginnings." our own beloved DT lead Valerie chose this theme which is really an opening for you to do whatever you like that's about what's "new."

what's new here is that this is my very first tag of the new year! i've used one of my favorite images from the african american collection from lunagirl along with a compass and wings from the wind roses collage sheet also by lunagirl. the rest are other bits from my stash.

i love that she looks wistfully into the future and has wings. this is a good way to begin a new year, thoughtfully and equipped with wings! i hope you'll join us in this challenge over the next two weeks and with all the challenges coming up this calendar year!
