anything goes -- with lime green

at tag tuesday for the next two weeks the theme is "anything goes" but use some lime green.  thanks to Wendy for this challenge theme! lime makes me think spring-like thoughts so i departed from my holiday making for this tag:

the background paper and bunny are from gecko galz and the rest are items from my stash.  i'm a bit late posting but there is more than a week left to play.

a couple more howliday treats today. a hallowe'en tag to remind you there is one week remaining to play along at the current tag tuesday challenge (choose either hallowe'en or autumn):

instructions: adhere paper to base, distress edges. fussy cut and add clock and witch; add lace, bat and mummy.

i stamped this lovely "mona flying" stamp by lost coast designs onto tissue paper left over from last month's gifting! (word to the wise: when you stamp on tissue paper make sure there is something beneath the tissue as the ink will bleed through.  i had some clean up to do...).

the rest was some simple putting together of desired elements.  i just got this stamp toward the end of last year and this is my first time using it.  it is wonderful.

santa tags with gecko galz, celebrating the holidays!

every december at gecko galz we celebrate the 24 tags of christmas. our design team members make tags representing christmas, hanukkah, kwanzaa and new year's to inspire you.  visit the blog every day to see what creative things are there for you to see.  PLEASE BE SURE TO COMMENT BOTH HERE AND AT THE GECKO GALZ BLOG for the chance to win the daily prize being offered.  here are 2 tags -- one of which i shared on the 1st and another brand new today.

products: background designer paper by my mind's eye; santa from "santa claus lane" collage sheet by gecko galz;  poinsetta berry and sleigh from anna griffin christmas card kit; distress ink and christmas tree die cut from my stash.

instructions: starting with a cardboard base, i cut the size and shape of tag i wanted and covered it with the designer paper, distressing the edges with ink.  i cut out the santa and adhered it, along with the tree die cut on the covered base.  i added the poinsettia and sleigh last.

products: background designer paper by my mind's eye; santa from "santa claus lane" collage sheet by gecko galz;  wreath from anna griffin christmas card kit;  calendar page, sock monkey brad and distress ink from my stash.

instructions: starting with a cardboard base, i cut the size and shape of tag i wanted and covered it with the designer paper, distressing the edges with ink.  i cut out the santa and adhered it, and arranged the wreath around it.  i cut out the calendar page and distressed the edges and glued that on as well, adding the sock monkey brad last.

paper doll play

for the tag tuesday "paper doll" prompt: i used julie nutting prima doll "keira" and patterned papers by gecko galz for 2 of the dresses and paper by heather hudson for the heart dress.

i stamped the doll on a cardboard base, cut it out and outlined in black ink.  i then stamped just the dress several times and cut it out.  so much cutting!  but fun to make a paper doll.

the smell of freshly ground heaven...

last week at tag tuesday the prompt was cups and cutlery and i went with a tea party theme.  this week the prompt is coffee and tea. well, i pretty much went with just the coffee...

because it really does smell like freshly ground heaven!  when i was growing up a coffee pot was ALWAYS on.  so it is a smell i associate with homey things.

at the seaside...

the ocean and the beach are about my favorite things.  so i love the challenge prompt at tag tuesday this week which is "at the seaside."

i also love mermaids and other fanciful creatures so i went with a fantasy theme for my tag.  images and background are from gecko galz.  the crab, fishes and sand border are stickers from my stash.

happy summer (or happy winter if you are southern hemisphere -- you can still dream of the beach!)
