paper doll play

for the tag tuesday "paper doll" prompt: i used julie nutting prima doll "keira" and patterned papers by gecko galz for 2 of the dresses and paper by heather hudson for the heart dress.

i stamped the doll on a cardboard base, cut it out and outlined in black ink.  i then stamped just the dress several times and cut it out.  so much cutting!  but fun to make a paper doll.

linking to "children" at try it on tuesday blog, as paper dolls are children's play (although since i am an adult i guess it is adult play too!)

enjoy; love to all.

paper doll tag

the latest prompt at tag tuesday is "dolls."  i decided to cut out some paper doll pieces (a head, legs and arms) from a collage sheet from the no longer existing paula's kit club.  the pink tag base is stamped with a french script stamp and the doll's body is designer paper punched with my heart punch (used upside down). finally, a few little various embelllie bits to finish.

i had meant to give her wings but after laying her out and applying the glue i realized i'd forgotten the wings. but there is a butterfly to make up for it.

enjoy; love to all.

getting transparent (with buttons!) at the cheerful stamp pad

the new challenge at the cheerful stamp pad for the next two weeks is "transparent."  i had some clear buttons i've been wanting to use so i thought i'd try using them as connectors for a paper doll dancer.  i decided to make a canvas (my third if you are keeping track...).  this one is 8 x 10.

the paper doll pieces came from (now closed) paula's kits club.  i made the torso with paper i had already.  i used clear buttons on her arms.  i ended up not using them on her legs because of the skirt.  i used additional clear buttons for decoration. it doesn't show up perfectly in the photo i took.  this didn't turn out exactly how i had it in my head but it is a fun piece.

i was blog-hopping around and learned at jack's arty crafty kreations that there is a challenge at dream valley challenges to use buttons however you like.  so i'm entering this piece in that challenge.

have a lovely week.  please consider joining the challenge.
love to all.
