the gecko galz customer challenge this month is retro christmas -- such a fun theme! the only requirement is to use at least one gecko galz image and every day on the blog there is another free image you can download and use. there are multiple challenge winners at the end of the month with the prize being shopping sprees at the gecko galz store so play along! here's what i have made so far: 

all the images except the floor design and the tree star are from gecko galz. the floor pattern is an old digital image from holliewood studios/mischief circus, star is also from mischief circus.

as promised i am back wiht another christmas tag for the  tag tuesday "anything christmas" challenge selected by our lovely DT member Pinky. today i am sharing the big guy himself...

our november challenge at gecko galz customer challenge blog the  is "jingle all the way!" there are just a couple days remaining to play along. the challenge prize will be a shopping spree at the gecko galz shop!  let's play! i've got lots to jingly goodness to share.

supplies: gecko galz "victorian christmas" paper pack; the gecko galz christmas collage sheet from the recent blog hop (see my october 26 post and pop through all the blog hop stops to find the free sheet); gecko galz "charming words" collage sheet; various laces, die cuts, paper flowers; reindeer brad, enamel dot, ATC base, etc. from my stash.

instructions: i covered the ATC base with one of the victorian christmas papers and distressed the edges. i added lace and the flower and dot.  i fussy cut the image from the blog hop sheet and glued it down. i continued to embellish with the word and the brad.

these two creations are "moos" which are little arty piece made at 1.2 x 3.8 inches. i used the same basic components on both of these.

supplies: gecko galz "christmas sprinkles" paper pack; gecko galz "snow much fun jewel it" collage sheet; and then various embellishments from my stash.

instructions: in both cases i cut a moo base out of cardboard and covered it with the christmas sprinkles paper. i fussy cut the images and arranged everything together the way i wanted and then glued it all down!

i'm linking my "moos" to the current moo mania and more challenge "trees."

for me, christmas is a holy and sacred time and one of my favorite images of christmas is the three wise men bringing gifts to the holy baby. that was the inspiration for this last ATC.

supplies: gecko galz "victorian christmas" paper pack; gecko galz "christmas days gone by" collage sheet; distress ink; ATC base; dove and heart stickers.

instructions: this was made very simply by covering the ATC base with the victorian christmas paper and distressing the edges, fussy cutting the three wise men and gluing them down; appending the lace with double sided tape and adding the stickers to finish.

instructions: starting with a cardboard base, i cut the size and shape of tag i wanted and covered it with the designer paper, distressing the edges with ink.  i cut out the santa and adhered it, along with the tree die cut on the covered base.  i added the poinsettia and sleigh last.

instructions: starting with a cardboard base, i cut the size and shape of tag i wanted and covered it with the designer paper, distressing the edges with ink.  i cut out the santa and adhered it, and arranged the wreath around it.  i cut out the calendar page and distressed the edges and glued that on as well, adding the sock monkey brad last.

a very vintage christmas

here is a dear santa tag to wish you a merry christmas.  i know not everyone celebrates the holiday (and if so you may have long stopped visiting here since i've been posting christmas creations all month!) but whatever your celebrations, holidays or traditions i do most sincerely wish you happiness and i very much wish for peace on earth!

i made this in response to the tag tuesday prompt "a very vintage christmas."  the vintage image image of the jar is from gecko galz and the santa was a freebie from the fripperies and butterflies blog for the december challenge there though the image was provided by gecko galz.

there are some darling vintage christmas image freebies at the fripperies blog, if it is too late for this year just download and save for next!

winter in pink; joyeux noel santa

it is inspiring seeing all the ways in which artists and crafters depict christmas in colors other than red and green, the traditional colors.  at lunagirl moonbeams for the next two weeks our theme is "winter in pink."

since christmas is just a few days away i used a vintage christ child and angels image from lunagirl along with lunagirl vintage angel on a backdrop of pink designer paper designed by lunagirl owner karen. i added a pink flowery die cut and other embellishments.

now, even though the old st nick challenge at lunagirl moonbeams is now past, i still can't stop using wonderful santa images from lunagirl!

i collaged several different designer papers and added some pom-pom ribbon.
