nothing says paris like marie....

marie antoinette is an iconic figure of france and i have two pieces featuring miss marie today.

background paper by jodie lee designs and all remaining images from collage sheets by lunagirl.  words are from a tim holtz words pack.

and a digital tag as well; she is so fancy this marie!  sadly she was all fancy and not much substance so she met with a bad end.  all digital images in this tag are from gecko galz.

i'm linking to the current challenge at tag tuesday -- there is one week remaining to join on the theme of "paris."

i'm also linking to the creates and makes challenge blog "anything goes" challenge, which lasts until the end of this month.

love to all.

animals on tags

i got to choose the next two week theme at tag tuesday and i have chosen "animals." i'm very excited that karen at lunagirl agreed to partner with us to provide a prize.  we'll select a winner who will receive this wonderful collage sheet by lunagirl:

here are some sample pieces to get us started:

the background is from a freebie lunagirl provided on the blog years ago.  the butterfly is from anna griffin, the letter by tim holtz, the rope is a sticker from my stash and of course the monkey comes from our feature sheet.

this one is a tiny tag, about 1 x 2 and a half inches.  the background paper is by jodie lee, the border at bottom from tumblefish studio, the letter from tim holtz and the rest are random bits from my stash.
something about animals makes me want to make alphabet tags!

i'll post another sample next tuesday so please come back to see!

we look forward to seeing what you create on this theme.  don't forget to link up here.

love to all.

    3 Bs at tag tuesday

this week we got to choose which of 3 "b" letter words we would use for our tags at tag tuesday.  the choices were buttons, burlap, birds, bees, blue, brown and butterflies.

i chose bird, butterfly, blue, brown and button -- so basically all the options except for bees and burlap.  the bird and butterfly are from collage sheets by gecko galz -- which gives me the chance to remind you of this month's customer challenge at the gecko galz blog -- "garden of dreams."  link up a creation including at least one gecko galz image for the chance to win gecko galz collage sheets!

but back to my tag -- the papers are by jodie lee and the flowers are from a kaisercraft sticker sheet.  that's a real button from my stash.

    enjoy; love to all.

    curls and swirls

we're exploring "curls and swirls" at tag tuesday this week.  i have some old curly swirly stamps from connor's collectibles which i stamped over background paper by jodie lee.  i then added some lovely fowl from lunagirl's "chickens" collage sheet.

i finished this off with some flowers from impress and enamel dots.
i'm linking to "favorite pet" at moo mania and more.
i'm also reminding you that the challenge theme at the lunagirl moonbeams blog this week is "spring flowers and birds."  chickens are birds, right?  i hope you will play along for the chance to win a prize from the lunagirl store!

    enjoy; love to all.

    collage steampunk 4x4

hello lovely people.  we still have the kids at home and the house is still busy and blessed.  but i commandeered the kitchen to make something as it has been many days and my glue fingers were itching!  which means collage time...

for the gecko galz blog design team we were all asked to make a 4x4 creation to be our symbol on the blog for 2016.  we were asked to do something indicative of our style.  well if you've been here before you know i love collage and also steampunk.  so that's the idea i worked with here.

other than the prima flower, enamel dots and a couple background papers by jodie lee, every element here is gecko galz, mostly all from the curiosity shop digital kit.  although i printed and fussy cut the elements i wanted to make my collage.  i also lightly stamped the word "dream" (by inkadinkado) repeatedly.

4x4 is a great sized canvas to work with.  something tells me i'll be doing more of these.  meanwhile i wish a happy day and happy new year to all!

    love to all.
