    precious friends

here are two precious and loving women as continued inspiration for you to join the "mothers and sisters" challenge at lunagirl moonbeams.

this is my third twinchie this month -- a 2x2 inche creation.  my base for the twinchie is by inchie arts.  it is well worth it to buy these beautifully precision cut bases which are perfect for collage or stamping or whatever. the background paper is by jodie lee designs.  the women are from the "just us girls" collage sheet by lunagirl and the butterfly is from the "woodland animals" collage sheet, also by lunagirl.  the word comes from tim holtz and the border is from my stash.

I'm linking this to the "anything goes" challenge at the "not just cards" challenge blog.

as to the lunagirl challenge. link up your art about mothers or sisters and link to the lunagirl blog for the chance to win shopping credit at the lunagirl store!  a reminder of the challenge guidelines:

    mothers and sisters

happy month of may!  at lunagirl moonbeams our month-long challenge is "mothers and sisters," just in time for mother's day. link up a creation on our theme for the chance to win shopping credit at the lunagirl store.

i've made a twinchie to get this challenge started, a 2x2 inch creation.  my twinchie base come from inchie arts.  the women are from the "sisters" collage sheet by lunagirl.  the background is paper by jodie lee designer papers.  the moth and word are from tim holtz with a bit of border from my stash.

mother's day is a good time to celebrate any people who mother or nurture others.  the sister relationship can be a very loving and supportive one, and is a lovely thing to celebrate.

i hope you'll join our challenge; you have all month!  here are the guidelines:

  • Challenge ends at 3:00 pm CST on May 31

    a trio of sisters

at the gecko galz facebook page/yahoo group one of the august monthly challenges is "sisters".  i may have gotten a bit carried away...

as i browsed through my many gecko galz collage sheets looking for images with sisters i found three images i really liked from various sheets.  i could not settle on which i wanted to use so i just went ahead and used them all!

the background designer paper is also from gecko as well as the clock in the corner.  i used a torn strip of gecko designer paper and wrote "sisters" on it in my old dusty cursive.  i finished with some distress inks and washi tape.

i'm also linking up to the "sisters/girlfriends" challenge at scraps of color.

    love to all.
