a horse is a horse

for the second week of the lunagirl moonbeams "cowgirls and horses" challenge i've got an ATC with a cowboy and a horse.

i loved this image from the "cowboys and horses in sepia" collage sheet by lunagirl.  using some wood-themed designer paper as a base, i added the fussy cut cowboy and included a border and a cowboy boot brad.  the top right hand corner has a bit of a sun and rays stamp by judikins.

lots more time to play along with this challenge.  link up a creation on our challenge theme for the chance to win shopping credit at the lunagirl store!

love to all.

march gecko galz inspiration -- a spring charm

for a last bit of inspiration with gecko galz this month i am sharing a spring charm.

the charm is a gypsy soul laser cut circle charm.  i used the zen garden paper pack by gecko galz and the spring dominoes collage sheet by gecko galz for the background and focal image on this ornament.

i cut and arranged the paper and image adhered them to the ornament base, covering with judikins diamond glaze afterwards.  i painted a bit of spring green pan pastels on the front and sides and then another layer of diamond glaze.

this could also be used as an ornament or even a pendant with a proper ribbon or chain to complete it.

i hope you enjoy!  the current challenge at the gecko galz blog is "shabby chic easter" and you have about a week to link up a themed creation using at least one item from gecko galz..  check out the gecko galz pinterest page for freebies you can use or go to my blog post of march 6 for a darling lamb digital freebie that you could use as well.

shining goddess

time for another goddess in celebration of the goddess challenge at lunagirl moonbeams.  you have one more week to link up a creation featuring your favorite goddess for a chance to win a little shopping spree at the lunagirl collage sheet store.

i stamped a sun stamp from judikins and then cut out and placed the lunagirl goddess over the sun face leaving only the shining sunbeams.  i bordered the picture with lace and flowery designer paper.

enjoy; love to all.

last 2 queens of the royal court

welcome to the final installment of my queen tag obsession.  in completing this "series" i think i managed to used all my face stamps that would fit on a tag, so here are the last two:

this lady's face stamp is from paper inspirations, crown from pink paislee.  this is actually the last one i made so perhaps i was running out of steam -- it is only the designer papers and a velveteen flower.  i also think this was the very first face stamp i ever acquired.  or maybe the next one was my first?  so finally,

face stamp by judikins.  designer papers, tissue tape, flowers, love. (i always add love). goodbye royal subjects!

love to all.

many angel wings

if you can't get enough of angels and wings then the current challenge at the cheerful stamp pad is definitely for you.  our theme is angel wings and our challenge sponsor is michelle perkett studios, a digital stamp image company.  the randomly selected winner will get some nice digis.

for my DT sample i used another tutorial from the technique junkies newsletter -- called "depth of field."  my angel stamp is from judikins. the cardstock was spritzed with watercolor inks, then torn, distressed and added to a brown cardstock base.  i added a quote which i printed from my computer and distressed; it is a quote i love.  i added a dragonfly sticker and some other flourishes.

i hope you enjoy and might think to join this challenge. to participate you just need to have some wings showing.

love to all.

more stamping of old

this is another of my older creations, stamped only.  before i started getting involved in all the "extras"!   the background is colored with starburst stains.  the warrior stamp is from auntie amy and the sun from judikins.  i think i never sent this to anyone because i liked it a lot myself.  but now that i have the wonders of scanning and blogging i can let it go!

i forgot to note that june 1 was my one year blogaversary.  i would like to give a shout out to crafty dawn because she is the reason i got started.  i probably would never have started blogging but she encouraged me.  and so i have entered this whole new world of creativity and joy.  dawn is a precious soul.  and a wonderful artist.  so i am in process of putting together a blog candy package so that i can celebrate in style.  it may not be until later this summer but candy is good whenever it comes, yes?

love to all.

card collage

this has been a very collage-y week.  this card hasn't gone out to anyone yet though i think i've decided now where to send it.  there is all kinds of stuff here.  the card itself was a designed paper card from a set. on the left there is a little strip of leftover cardstock from when i was making millefiori like crazy (see technique junkies).  there is some ripped paper from a paper pack.  there's a vintage beauty label from twisted papers.  there are some little floral pieces from some collection or the other.  the stamped image is one of my favorite face stamps and it is from judikins.  i had stamped that on cardstock with yet another technique junkies technique -- though i've forgotten which one.  it was watercolor something i think. but anyway i'd messed up the stamped image so one of her eyes didn't come out.  but being a "saver" like so many of you all i kept the image and i've remedied her damaged eye by covering it with what now appears to be a sort of "curl" from a stash of random goodies from k & company. (smile!). finally i've given her a crown of lace.  this is my favorite creation of the week.

happy mother's day to all women who have nurtured others in the spirit of motherly love!
may we all get the motherly love we need.  and let's all be sweet to each other.
love to all.
