eggs pretty as a postcard

eggs aren't for breakfast, they're for postcards at sunday postcard art this week.  i love creating with eggs and chickens but decided to break from my first inclination to do something different.  here are 2 digital postcards:

i don't just love chickens, i also love owls.  i took an image of eggs from the lunagirl feathers and nests collage sheet and sized it to 4x6.  i digitally added owls and a butterfly from the dezinaworld "all creatures" section.

i'm also fond of gulls.  same lunagirl background, this time adding gulls and a snail from dezinaworld.

spring, renewal, new life -- eggs.  "eggs" is the prompt at tag tuesday this week.  using a variety of images and background papers from lunagirl i created this tag.

i actually cut out the tiny eggs from the collage sheet to put them in the nest so i worked hard for this tag!  remember there is a "spring flowers and birds" challenge at lunagirl moonbeams challenge blog this month and you still have a  few days to link up for the chance to win a prize from the lunagirl store.

i live in the pacific northwest where spring teases us for many, many, many weeks before it really comes.  it could be awhile. nevertheless the crocuses and such are peeking out in the front yard so there is hope!

spring chicken challenge continues

there is one last week for the "spring chicken" challenge at lunagirl moonbeams. play along with your creation on the theme of "spring chickens" (interpret as you like!) for the chance of a prize from lunagirl.

here is a final easter card for this year.  i took a lunagirl image of a girl with a basket full of eggs and a different lunagirl image of a hen warming her eggs, cut them both out and combined them to create the girl with the basket of a chicken on her eggs!  i placed this on pretty coordinating designer paper and added the happy easter sticker and the spring flower.  last easter card for this year!

moo eggs 'n bunny

i love playing along with the challenges at moo mania when i have the chance.  although the challenges have been expanded to include any creations on the theme and not just "moos" (the tiny 1x3 inch canvases) i always go for making a moo because i am fascinated with creating something in such a small space.  the current challenge prompt is "eggs."

i combined two images from gecko galz digitally on digital paper by gecko galz.  i adhered this to my "moo" base and added rick rack, distressing and a dragonfly brad from eyelet outlet. .

a bunny juggling eggs (and multiple blog challenges)

you know how excited i get when i can enter more than one challenge at a time!  that's what i am able to do with this piece. and beyond my excitement about all the challenges i have to tell you i love this piece as it just totally makes me smile.

i've used 2 different designer papers, a free bunny image this month from gecko galz, some easter egg stickers, some distressing and ribbon.
