well here's a new and original challenge theme idea for tag tuesday from wonderful wendy of the tag tuesday design team -- include mushrooms/fungi on your tag! this challenge started last week and there is one week remaining to play along. here's my creation!

have you ever been making something and the making of it felt especailly joyous? that's what this piece did for me. it just kind of made me giggle with delight. i hope you enjoy it also.

images are from a retired tumblefish studio set of digital images. the background digital paper is by gecko galz. printed on to the paper are free images of mushrooms i downloaded years ago from dover publications. there's some flower washi tape at the bottom also.

my favorite color

is purple and that's the theme at take a word this week.

images on 1st piece from songbirdy "mauveine," cupid from open clip art. on second piece it is also mauveine along with steampunk images and butterfly by itKuPiLLi imagenarium.

february, my birth month, is the month of purple and amethyst, love, black history and all kinds of good things. so happy february!

for take a word and moo mania and more -- both have the theme: "love is in the air." each year i create as many unique valentines as i can and last year i succeeded in giving one to everyone at work, about 40 people. i'm not quite there yet this year but i still have a few days! and creating many of them digitally to print out at ATC size makes the task easier! here are a few:

more tag hearts!

we have one more week remaining to play along on the theme i've chosen for the current tag tuesday challenge which is "hearts."  here are two more tags for you.

i made all of these with the sweet girls from the crowabout studio b "love the world" digital kit (although for these i printed the images for my cut and glue collages). background papers are from "my artistic adventures" and the sentiments and tickets are from various gecko galz kits and collage sheets. ribbons and heart punches are from my stash of supplies.

last year i made valentines for everyone at my work place (about 40 folks). we will see if i succeed in that again this year!

happy year of the pig!

it is time to celebrate the lunar new year and under the chinese zodiac it is the year of the pig. pigs are said to have beautiful personalities and they are associated with fortune and wealth. and they inspired this little digital piece as well:

i was happy to choose the theme of "year of the pig" for take a word this week. what will you create in honor of the lunar new year?

for my creation, all the money related images came from open clip art; background image, pig, butterflies and balloon are from miles beyond the moon kits (retired).
