taking a break at lunagirl moonbeams

it has been a pleasure and an honor serving on the lunagirl moonbeams challenge blog for the past few years.  the challenge blog is taking a little break for the next few months.  here are a few favorite lunagirl creations i've made:

if you've been visiting here much you know i love love love the beach.  so here is a final 4x6 postcard on the beach/nautical theme to encourage you to join the gecko galz blog customer challenge "nautical" this month.

supplies: la isla bonita paper pack by gecko galz; nautical collage sheet by gecko galz; seaside snapshots by gecko galz; distress inks; sand dollar die cut and washi tape from my stash.

instructions: i started with a 4x6 cardboard base and glued on one of the la isla bonita papers.  I distressed the edges and added postal washi tape.  i cut images from the nautical collage sheets (the ship, compass and map) and fussy cut an image (the couple) from seaside snapshots and arranged them on the postcard.  the word "travel" is also from the nautical collage sheet. the sand dollar was glued on as a final finishing touch.

eau de cologne #3

for some reason i can't stop using lunagirl images to create my own perfume labels.  this month at lunagirl moonbeams you can link up any kind of creation you like for our "anything goes" challenge. today i'm sharing my third in a series of ATC labels using lunagirl collage sheets.

another nautical postcard; gecko galz inspiration

greetings! as a prompt to interest you in the "nautical" customer challenge theme at the gecko galz blog i am sharing another 4x6 postcard on this theme.

supplies: beachy keen paper pack by gecko galz; nautical collage sheet by gecko galz; seaside snapshots by gecko galz; she sells sea shells collage sheet by gecko galz; distress inks.

instructions: i started with a 4x6 cardboard base and glued on one of the beachy keen papers.  i distressed the edges.  i cut images from the nautical collage sheets (sailing ship and coast harbor advert) and fussy cut an image (the woman) and the children from seaside snapshots, as well as shells from the she sells sea shells collage sheet.  all were arranged and adhered to the postcard.
