our new challenge at lunagirl moonbeams is "bathing beauties," just in time for summer... (which can't come soon enough if you ask me).  winner gets a lunagirl collage sheet!

this challenge makes me happy because i love the beach.  the image in my card comes from the bathing beauties #4 collage sheet from lunagirl.  she's pretty cheeky, yes?  my background was done by swiping inks on some card stock, distressed around the edges.  the sand dollar and seahorse borders came from alphastamps.  the stamped letters are from a magnetic letter set by pixie press, stamped on some handmade paper in my stash.

my card has a favorite old song running through my mind.  sing along with mickey mouse and enjoy!

my kind of fairy...

for week 2 of the cheerful stamp pad challenge #61 -- "my kind of gal," i've used another digi from the challenge sponsor stitchy bear/gingerloft, a floating fairy.  well, she is floating on my card!  she reminds me of the blue fairy from the pinocchio movie.  in this case she is sprinkling fairy dust on the garden flowers.

the garden flowers were cut from two vintage easter cards from twisted papers.  there is one week left on this challenge which is focused on female images,  randomly selected winner gets a gingerloft digi!

i had fun layering designer papers and tissue papers on my stamped tag and then adding the (distressed) image from the lunagirl "beauties #2" collage sheet.  and even though the "birds" challenge was last time i snuck in a little lunagirl bird at the lower right hand corner.  a few more embellies and i was done.

the cowboy boot digi is from gingerloft and i really love the flowers on it and in it so i colored them with pencils.  i have fun, bold papers, tissue tape, ribbon leaves and flowers to represent the spirited kind of gal who kicks around in cowboy boots like these.  i hope you'll consider joining the challenge by creating something on our theme.

diva in pink with flowers

what do you get when you mix a DIVA with the pink saturday link up party?  this gal:

she is wishing beverly and the pink saturday gang a happy 5th birthday! in a very sassy way i might add.
she is also sporting 5 or more flowers (6 around the edges and who know how many on her dress) so she can play along with the reader's art quest at unruly paper arts.

i'm happy to report that we are moving to a two week challenge schedule at lunagirl moonbeams blog.  challenges will start on mondays and run for two weeks.  if you played along with the birds challenge, our first ever challenge, then thank you very much.  if not, please join us for the DIVA challenge!

to get the ball rolling here is my DT inspiration for you.  the central image comes from the lunagirl "diva" collage sheet (appropriately!).  i adhered designer paper to plain cardstock, covered that in french themed tissue paper then added my image (distressed first) and embellishments.  now you consider bringing your favorite diva along and join our challenge.  the challenge is open for two weeks, closing june 2 and a new challenge starting june 3.  winner gets a free lunagirl collage sheet!  i'll post some more divas in the coming days.

it's natural #2

sometimes when you wander in nature you might be surprised by a fairy.  that's what happened in this ATC.

for week two of the cheerful stamp pad "it's natural" challenge i created a fantasy nature scene using several digital images from our challenge sponsor stitchy bear stamps which i colored with pencils.

i colored the ATC base with distress inks then placed a piece of designer paper from twisted papers.  I added a leafy sticker too.
