stenciled tag

hello all! today is mother's day in the US so i am sending love to all who mother others.

i'm late getting to the party but at tag tuesday the theme for two weeks (one week remaining) is "add some stenciling." i have a giant folder of stencils that i've somehow misplaced! but i found these honeycombs and bee in a craft drawer, from gina's designs. whew!

the cute (and worried!) cat is from gecko galz. i used spray inks for the background and distress crayons and a marker on the bee.

stencils add something special to your creations so i hope you will take time to join the challenge!

love to all.

memories

sunday postcard art theme today: torn and/or broken
i found a broken down barn on pixabay that was the inspiration for this first piece:

the cloudy background behind the barn is from a vintage tumblefish studios kit. the man is from cryztal rain (sketches 2) and the letters are from holliewood studios (fantastical steampunk).

============================

next memory: today's theme at the "index card a day" challenge sponsored by daisy yellow art is souvenir, but i'm basically off theme today. after spritzing with watercolor inks i used a stencil of trees and then added this woman from gecko galz, she is also considering some memories.

love to all.

ICAD #12 "brocade"

here's today's piece for the "index card a day" challenge sponsored by daisy yellow art. theme today is "brocade" and i had a wonderful intention -- i was going to create a brocade-like background using acrylic paints and stencils. my attempts with more ornate stencils ended up being blurry and messy. so while i like what i ended up with, it wasn't the brocade-like background i had in mind....

golden acrylics, stencil, female image from gecko galz.

telegramme, from paris!

lunagirl is the challenge host for an "anything goes" challenge at "creates and makes" challenge blog.  meanwhile the new two week challenge at tag tuesday has the theme of "paris."
here is a collaged tag for these challenges:

the background is done by spraying watercolor inks through a flower stencil. the images are from lunagirl collage sheets and i finished with a butterfly sticker and ribbon from my stash.

enjoy; love to all.
