for the challenge formerly known as cheeky: "arch"
the arch is from open clip art, the sun from itKuPiLLi. all other images are from dezinaworld.
love to all.
upcoming cheeky challenges if you wish to play:
visit whimsey asylum for another interpretation on the theme.
love to all.
this blog is to chart my creative evolution with stamping, paper-crafting, mixed media and some other stuff i haven't figured out yet... on the theory that challenging myself to try new things and post them to the "world" will be good for me. and might also be good for others. my blog title is inspired by julia cameron's "the artist's way" and her admonition to fill the well.

parisian dreams
summertime is often considered travel time so the latest two week challenge at the cheerful stamp pad "travel to faraway places" is right on time. our challenge sponsor is lunagirl vintage images; a randomly selected winner of the challenge will win a prize from our sponsor.
my creation is a memory of a romantic parisian adventure using college sheets from lunagirl ("maps" and "dreams of paris") and an "arch top reliquary shrine" from alpha stamps. the shrine is 2 chipboard pieces, a base and the arch cover. i created a collage using three images from lunagirl and some washi tape and adhered them to the base. i painted the arch cover with lindys stamp gang starburst stains in "opal sea oats" and when that was dry i glued it to the base. sadly the scan does not show the full shimmery-ness of the starburst stain. after that i added a prima flower.
i hope you like it! whether it is summer or winter where you live, and whether you have a vacation coming up or not, i hope you will play along.
love to all.
