gecko galz inspiration: a mother's love

i've got one last mother's day piece using the  new products from gecko galz this month.

again i've used the "flower power" paper pack, and the "mums the word" and "provance garden" collage sheets.  this time i added a felt lace border at the top, and a stamped image of flowers (by sunday international stamps) which i lightly colored before cutting out and adhering to the bottom of the card.

please visit the gecko galz blog today -- I am being featured there!

i hope you enjoy; love to all.

last bit of vintage mother's day

here are two final cards with a vintage mother's day feel as one last prompt to enter the vintage other's day challenge at lunagirl moonbeams -- you have until sunday night to enter your art for a chance at lunagirl store shopping credit.

the vintage images are from the lunagirl african american CD.  the stamp is from sunday international.
i'm linking to the week 2 "hattitude" challenge at scraps of color as well.

love to all.

drunken stampers #63

the latest challenge (#63) at drunken stampers is "technology sucks."  i don't think technology sucks but i do believe we sometimes need a break from it.  the point was not to use any technology in the challenge creations.  i don't really have much technology in my crafting -- the most high tech thing i've got is a heat gun.  so i didn't use it here!  to me the antidote to technology is spending time in nature or spending time with art.  so my ATC is nature-themed.  the native american style eagle stamp is from sunday international and the sun is from uptown rubber.  i used regular markers on the stamps and masked the eagle.  before stamping the background was spritzed with watercolors by stamp zia.  i used a sharpie around the edges.  and that's all.
love to all.
