more embossing with the cheerful stamp pad

embossing really makes your stamped images pop.  it also makes a powdery mess in your work space!  but it is all for a good cause.  for week two of the "use embossing powder" challenge at the cheerful stamp pad i stamped an image that i won from shelly's blog earlier this year.

i did forget which stamp company the stamp is from so i'm hoping shelly will stop by and remind me!  i embossed the image and arranged it with some additional spring elements to complete my card.

the randomly selected winner of the cheerful stamp pad challenge will get a prize from our challenge sponsor "stamp on it."

just wanted to show off two things i got in the mail which are too lovely not to share!
i won some blog candy from the talented shelly at my creative rumblings blog and she included this gorgeous card:

the blog candy winning was a great art neko stamp and once i make something with it i'll be sharing that here.
also last week i received a package from sharon at my craft journey.  she was sending me a treat because i won the black history ATC challenge at scraps of color.  she sent me this incredible watercolor ATC:

so delightful!  i'm enjoying all my treats.

delicious treats

i'm a bit delinquent posting about some delicious treats that have come my way in the past few weeks.
i was the VERY lucky recipient of some stellar blog candy from shelly of my creative rumblings.

as you can see i got the technique junkies 3D and fun folds CD.  i haven't had time to play with it yet but i promised shelly that the first nice thing i make from it goes directly to her!  this is a big deal because i am definitely intimidated by things i have to fold and manipulate.  you should see my attempts at origami back in the day.  trust me it was scary!  shelly also sent me the beautiful card which you see in the photo with the CD.

i also got this fabulous group of french post cards (and a lovely tag) from trishia at french kissed postcards.  i participated in her "love me two" challenge back in march.  she has another challenge going in april as well so hop on over to her blog to learn more.  she posts some of the "underloved" postcards from her sale shop, offers them for free and asks that you make some art and send it to her.  i had a great time entering her challenge and now i look forward to scanning these awesome cards and using them in my art! 
so these are the lovely things that have come my way as a result of the kindness and generosity of the fine artists of blogland.  blessings to all of you wonderful artists for being so sweet.  please check out both blogs and show these two ladies some love.
