some more "anything but a card"

hello lovies.  whenever i get a gift of jewelry i save the little jewelry box and i often re-use those boxes when i am giving a jewelry gift.  for my week two DT creation for the "anything but a card" challenge at the cheerful stamp pad i decided to decorate one of those plain boxes for a gift i plan to give this week.

the box was black and i left the bottom half alone.  i covered the top half in gold tissue paper and created additional layers with other tissue and decorative papers.  the sweet bird image is by itkupilli.  i added a charm from alpha stamps.  i'm excited to give a gift in something altered by me and think i will decorate some more of those empty boxes i have laying about!

the challenge sponsor for the "anything but a card" challenge is creative cuts and more.  if you like working with die cuts and various shape templates you'll like what they've got. a randomly selected winner of the challenge will receive a sample package of goodies from the sponsor.  consider playing along!  i'm also linking this creation up to the scraps of color "texture" challenge.

love to all.

anything but a card at the cheerful stamp pad!

i am definitely one to stick with cards, tags and ATCs so i was challenged on this current design team task.  for the next two weeks we are inviting you to make "anything but a card" at the cheerful stamp pad. our challenge sponsor is creative cuts and more.  this company has all kinds of templates for little cake boxes and all manner of shape-y things.  i worked with a purse template for my creation.

i decorated both sides so you see two photos above.  i had some shaped card stock and then used images from artist itkupilli.  i'm delighted with how it came out.  the finished product is only about 2 and a half inches high. petite and sweet!

hope you'll consider joining this challenge!
love to all.
