this blog is to chart my creative evolution with stamping, paper-crafting, mixed media and some other stuff i haven't figured out yet... on the theory that challenging myself to try new things and post them to the "world" will be good for me. and might also be good for others. my blog title is inspired by julia cameron's "the artist's way" and her admonition to fill the well.

parisian postcard collage with digital backgrounds
i hope this 4x6 postcard will inspire folks to participate in two different challenges:
using digital backgrounds at lunagirl moonbeams and
postcards from the edge, a reader's art quest at unruly paper arts.
i'm submitting this for the RAQ.
as a design team member at lunagirl moonbeams i delight in the chance to work with the wonderful vintage images they offer. all of the handwriting on this postcard is from different parts of the "carte postale" background images collage sheet at lunagirl. the chanteuse in the foreground is from the lunagirl african american vintage images CD. the french tourism images are from tourism websites and then i have various embellishments (a compass, a ticket, butterflies, a heart) from my own stash.
by the way, digital background sheets from lunagirl are on SALE for $2 each, a fine thing.
i love collage and i greatly enjoyed composing this postcard. while it was not quite as good as travelling myself it was a nice opportunity to fantasize through creating!
love to all.
