 the customer challenge at gecko galz this month is secret garden. here is an ATC for the challenge, the central image was a freebie on the gecko galz website.

the background paper and sentiment also come from gecko galz, with a little butterfly brad added for interest.

affirmation cards

i was delighted to be invited to be guest artist for the gecko galz newsletter for the month of may. it was up to me what to make. i'm finally getting around to posting my goodies here!

this invitation gave me the chance to start a project I've been wanting to do for a long time -- using gecko galz images to create a set of affirmation cards! 

i now have 8 pieces to start my deck! i started this project making a "masterboard" gluing lots of different gecko galz papers on a large piece of cardboard. i also interspersed some dictionary pages and bits of map. i then cut that board into 3x4 cards. i selected and cut several images from the gypsy soul and beautiful photos craft kits along with lots of other gecko galz bits, butterflies, flowers, and words. 

i played around with all the pieces until i settled on the cards i wanted to make, adding a few laces and paper flowers and enamel dots and other sentiments here and there. the rest is cut and glue history! 

i need to set aside time to make more!

for tag tuesday: sport -- just a few days left to play on this two week challenge that began more than a week ago! but a great challenge theme by our lovely DT member Sandie. to get in on this one on time i quickly rubber stamped two tags today.

backgrounds are from my stash. weightlifter stamp is by graphic rubber stamps and muhammed ali stamp is by 100 proof press. words are from tim holtz sticker set. i also stamped the dots and swirls.
