vegetables (and the faeries who help them grow)

as you likely know, we have garden faeries to thank for helping the flowers and fruits and vegetables to grow big and yummy.  for the "vegetables" prompt at tag tuesday this week i am showing how this magical situation works.

here we have sweet corn, peppers and beans being helped along by faerie friends.  all images and papers are by lunagirl.  the faeries are from the "fly away home" collage sheet, the veggies are from the "seed packs" collage sheet and the background paper was created by karen of lunagirl a few years ago for a "green" color challenge.

at this time of year i make quite a few stews and soups with lots of veggies in them so a shout out to all the farmers and harvesters who really do the hard work of bringing food to our tables.  they are faeries of a sort and most of us wouldn't have a thing to eat without them!

love to all.

flowers and butterflies oh my!

ok, one last bit of inspiration for the lunagirl moonbeams seed packs/vintage garden challenge.  just a handful of days left to link up but the randomly selected winner will get some spending money for the lunagirl store, a wonderful place to shop for vintage lovelies.

the flowers are from the "french flowers seed pack #1" sheet and they are joined by a garden fairy from the lunagirl "fly away home" sheet.  and obviously i went hog wild with the butterflies as my main embellishment here.

if you check out the lunagirl moonbeams blog you'll find several free images usable for the seed pack/vintage garden challenge.  there are several posts with freebies but the most recent freebie is here.

i'll be home from my travels soon and hope to find that we've got many entries for the challenge.

enjoy; love to all.

the romance of flowers

we are starting week two of the lunagirl moonbeams seed packs challenge.  this time i used an image from the "french flower seed pack #2" sheet and paired it with a couple from the vintage couples CD.

i love the neutrals and pinks and greens here and i enhanced these colors with designer papers and other bits to bring the romantic message home.  one more week to play along!

this is a scheduled post as i'm off on vacation at long last.  but i'll have some goodies coming up even while i'm away.

love to all.

what makes seeds grow?

garden fairies of course!  for a little midweek inspiration for the lunagirl moonbeams seed packs/vintage garden challenge i matched a garden fairy from the lunagirl "fly away home" collage sheet with a watermelon seed pack from the "summertime seed packs" collage sheet.

i've also got 2 kinds of designer paper, tissue tape, and a lovely butterfly adorning this piece.  this challenge runs until september 8 and the randomly selected winner will get a gift certificate to the lunagirl shop.   lunagirl shop.  until then check out a seed pack free image on the lunagirl site!

love to all.

seed pack challenge at lunagirl moonbeams

for the new two week challenge at lunagirl moonbeams we are playing with vintage images of seed packs, or alternatively you can make something celebrating the vintage garden.

now i think we all know what makes children grow -- eating peas! this tag illustrates that peas makes little girls grow big and strong.  the seed pack is from the "summertime seed packs" collage sheet and the growing girls are from the "little girls" collage sheet, both from lunagirl.  i also have some cool designer paper, some tissue tape (the bird) and other little goodies.

you've got two weeks to link up and share your how your garden grows.
and if you do not already have a seed pack image to play with, here's a FREEBIE from lunagirl!

enjoy; love to all.
