more inspiration from a picture

remember that cake picture i shared last week?  this is the foundation for the latest challenge at the cheerful stamp pad.  use the photo below as inspiration for your creation and then you'll have the chance to be the randomly selected winner for a prize from classy cards n such.

and this week i took it as inspiration for a garden fairy tea party.  because my imagination tells me that they would surely serve pink cake!

i do not recall the origins of the vintage fairy and tea cup (at bottom) but the fairy at top is from itkupilli.

cheerful stamp pad challenges are back!

welcome to 2013 and a new year of challenges at the cheerful stamp pad. the first two week challenge for this year is "white as snow" and you are invited to work with a background or palette of white.  use of snow is optional!

one nice new feature on the cheerful stamp pad blog is that you can see the next few challenges on the right hand side bar -- gives you the opportunity to plan ahead!

i decided to try a new technique from technique junkies called "white negative."

stamp credits: tree branch from inkadinkado; japanese script from mad rat rubber and peace stamp from hero arts.

our challenge sponsor this round is classy cards n such where you can find stamps, embossing folders, all kinds of bling and much more.  the randomly selected winner will get a nice treat from the sponsor.

happy spring!

it is still raining like mad around here these days, nevertheless the crocuses and some of their other flower friends are emerging in the front yard.  the bright colors are truly refreshing and make me hopeful for warmer weather.

it is week 2 for the "anything goes" challenge at the cheerful stamp pad.  you can submit anything for this challenge so long as you haven't already blogged or posted it before.  total artistic freedom!  the challenge sponsor is classy cards n such.  the randomly selected winner will received a $10 gift certificate.

i've made two ATCs with an easter theme as the challenge this week at wicked wednesday is bunnies and chicks.  so i've got one ATC with bunnies and one with a chick!  the lace on the bunnies piece and the silver stencil stick-on on the chick creation came from classy cards n such.

cheerful stamp pad #39 -- anything goes...

its new challenge time at the cheerful stamp pad and for the next two weeks it is something easy for anyone to join: the challenge is "anything goes."  so whatever it is you are working on, you can enter it, so long as you haven't posted it before.  i used the opportunity to continue making easter cards.

i've got another image from french kissed postcards here.  it is adhered to some blue lacy paper, some neutral card stock and finally i've added a metallic blue bunny to watch over the little egg baby and his sister.
