steampunk bonanza! and inspiring my heart with art

gecko galz  has a wonderful set of steampunk themed digital stamps in the "industrial stamps" line and the quick cards made easy magazine is featuring these stamps in the february issue!  to celebrate this special honor the gecko galz design team was given the option to make some creations with the stamps. i decided to play along because steampunk inspires me!  i loved these stamps so much and got so inspired that i got carried away and made three creations!  the first is a card i call "create."

supplies: gecko galz industrial stamps; designer paper; washi tape; brads; distress inks; word sticker “create”

instructions:  i covered my cardstock with designer paper and distressed all edges.  i printed several of the industrial stamps on different papers, plain white, colored and also gecko galz mayflower paper pack “abigail” paper and cut them out.  i arranged the stamps in layers as i wanted and attached them with glue and scor-tape, layering the washi tape strips as well.  the final touch was adding three brads and the word “create.”

this card is called "imagine"
supplies: gecko galz industrial stamps; designer paper; washi tape; brads; distress inks; word sticker “imagine”

instructions: i covered my cardstock with designer paper.  i printed three of the industrial stamps on different papers, plain white, colored and also gecko galz mayflower paper pack “abigail” paper and cut them out.  i arranged the stamps in layers as i wanted and attached them with glue and scor-tape.  last i added the  washi tape, the brad and the word “imagine”.  i distressed all edges with distress inks.

my final piece is an ATC called "journey."
supplies: gecko galz industrial stamps; designer paper; torn strips from a map; washi tape; brads; distress inks; word sticker “journey”

instructions: i covered my ATC base with designer paper and the torn pieces of map.  i printed two of the industrial stamps on different papers, plain white and colored, and cut them out.  i added the strips of washi tape and the brad.  all edges were distressed with distress inks.

i hope you like these!  they were great fun to make.  you can see all the DT pieces at the gecko galz blog.   and if you are interested in taking a look at this very cool stamp set you can find them here.

i'm linking up to the "inspire your heart with art" link up party at unruly paper arts where we are asked to link up something we've made that came from the heart.  i've come to really love working in the steampunk genre so i decided to link these creations.  for this challenge we are not supposed to link up challenge or DT pieces and i think this qualifies since it was an optional piece designed for gecko galz.  but if it doesn't count then i still hope you enjoyed visiting!

love to all.
