i've been exploring the antique bookplate technique from technique junkies.
the japanese script is a stamp by mad rat rubber. the sun stamp is from hero arts. chop stamp unknown. the magenta cardstock is from the paper temptress brown paper bag set. i have colored pearls all around the sun and a wonderful lace leaf. this was an early try at this technique and i'm still playing with it so stay tuned for more.
i'm linking this up with pearls and lace thursday.
love to all.
this blog is to chart my creative evolution with stamping, paper-crafting, mixed media and some other stuff i haven't figured out yet... on the theory that challenging myself to try new things and post them to the "world" will be good for me. and might also be good for others. my blog title is inspired by julia cameron's "the artist's way" and her admonition to fill the well.

I love the depth of all of your layers! They all work together very well, and make that a beautiful piece! Thanks so much for joining me for Pearls and Lace Thursday! I'm so glad you came to the party!
Blessings, Doni
Beautiful project- the BG stamp is really neat and I love the overall effect! The texture is great and the pearls are a great embellishment!
Your creation is beautiful. The texture makes me want to touch it, handle it to get a full appreciation of it. I look forward to seeing your future projects.
OH, I love this. I have to try that technique!!
