dark imagination is back!!

greetings! i am quite thrilled to see kym decker's my soul's dark imagination back in full swing with a new challenge of victorian animal characters. we're asked to create at least two scenes, one using some of the gorgeous freebies created for the challenge by mia craft artista. i have made three altogether, the first two use freebies created by mia, available here.

in addition to Mia's art in the 1st two, i've also used images from arthouse whimsy, dezinaworld, and mischief circus. for the third piece i have images from designs by MANDN, gecko galz, clipddigitalart and mischief circus.

can't wait to see what the challenge will be next week! and since i was late joining this one, the new challenge might appear any day. watch for it!

havana cigars -- for flowers and fans...

greetings! i've got one last inspiration piece for you for the flowers and fans challenge at lunagirl moonbeams. the randomly selected challenge winner gets a CD including 25 lunagirl collage sheets -- an awesome prize! this time i've used images from the "fans" collage sheet and a single image sunflower cigar ad also provided by lunagirl.

the two lovely background papers i used are from gecko galz.  the remaining bits (vine, robin, single flower) are from my stash.

if you don't have any fans don't let that stop you -- click here for a lovely vintage fan image available free at the lunagirl site.  just a few days remaining to link up a creation.
enjoy; love to all.

wishing you had a vintage image of a fan to add to your collection?  click here for a nice freebie from lunagirl! just one more week to link up with your flowers and fans creations.
love to all.

it's a man thing

our tag tuesday theme this week is "its a man thing."

i found these men from a victorian era clothing ad on the lunagirl collage sheet "ladies and gents."  i created a background for the tag with multiple images from the gecko galz "old world maps" collage sheet.  i have additional background paper from gecko galz, distressing and the steampunk-ish brad from alphastamps.

love to all.

welcoming a victorian spring

here in the northern hemisphere spring is really beginning to arrive at last -- in my city cherry blossoms are blooming with abandon.  at lunagirl moonbeams challenge blog we are welcoming a victorian spring for our new two week challenge.  for the next two weeks join us with your spring creations featuring a victorian era twist.  my DT piece is from lunagirl's "garden fantasy" collage sheet.

since the little writing on the image refers to book pages and a pen i thought it would be good to use a book page as a part of my tag base so i used some book page and also some pastel colored paper for my background.  i distressed the edges of all and finished the tag with lace, ribbon and a pretty ornate symbol with a sparkly bead.

as always our randomly selected challenge winner will get shopping credit at the lunagirl store.
even if it is autumn in your part of the world you can invoke the feeling of spring and play along!

love to all.
