it is the second week of the cheerful stamp pad "work is good" challenge. our challenge sponsor is kenny k downloads. a randomly selected winner will get some cool digis from the sponsor. for my second DT creation i used this police officer image:
i got a kick out of this police officer and honestly it made me think of the village people song from the 80s -- "YMCA." anyway i colored him with pencils and layered him on a torn piece of a highway map, designer paper and cardstock. the "this affects you" stamp is from 100 proof press. i cut the star out of another piece of designer paper.
have fun with this challenge and join the fun -- one week left
i'm also linking this up to the "anything goes" challenge at mema's crafts. there is also a cool giveaway this month at mema's crafts so check out the link and the blog!
love to all.
this blog is to chart my creative evolution with stamping, paper-crafting, mixed media and some other stuff i haven't figured out yet... on the theory that challenging myself to try new things and post them to the "world" will be good for me. and might also be good for others. my blog title is inspired by julia cameron's "the artist's way" and her admonition to fill the well.

work is good!
new challenge time at the cheerful stamp pad with the theme of "work is good!" you are invited to celebrate the world of work through your art. our challenge sponsor is kenny k downloads, loads of cute digital images at their site.
i picked this kenny k digi and colored her with pencils as she reminded me of my first professional suit and first job interview -- i had a brand new suit just about this color. and i got the job! though i don't think i looked quite so stylish and cute as she does! anyway i thought this image made for a good congratulations card. the congrats stamp is from denami designs and i used some bold designer paper from my stash.
i'm linking up to scraps of color "anything goes" challenge, too.
enjoy; love to all!
