autumn colors at take a word
it will soon be autumn in my hemisphere. even though it is probably my favorite season i'm never really quite ready for it, as it is hard to see summer go. this "autumn colors" theme at take a word is helping me to get in the mood!

A couple of really beautiful expressions of autumn. I know what you mean about being reluctant to let summer go, but I do so love autumn. For over 30 years 3 friends and I took a girlfriend's getaway to the Great Smoky Mountains in autumn. Now all 3 of them have passed to what comes after, and only I remain to savor the colors of autumn. It has become a nostalgic time of year for me now.
